All About Women
Since 2013, Sydney Opera House has presented All about Women, an annual feminist ideas festival timed to coincide with International Women’s Day in March.
Ann Mossop programmed the festival from 2013-2017 with the help of colleagues like Danielle Harvey (co-curator 2013, 2015-2016), and producers Alice Marklew, Neil Simpson and Brendan O’Connell.
A celebration of the work of writers, thinkers and activists from around the world, speakers ranged from Nobel Peace Prize winner Leymah Gbowee to media activist Geena Davis. Audiences shared debates, conversation and experiences like artist Lynette Wallworth’s installation Evolution of Fearlessness.
You can see the most recent program, curated by Edwina Throsby, here and find past talks and videos here on the Sydney Opera House Talks and Ideas YouTube or on iTunes.
